Wedding season is upon us, and you may be in the throes of planning not just the upcoming nuptials but also the bridal shower. Whether you’re throwing one for yourself or your bridesmaids are taking care of it, we thought we would tell you of some great spots to host this momentous event.

Rent a Loft at Robinette’s

Check out our Loft as the ideal setting for bridal showers, as well as baby showers, birthday parties, and corporate meetings. We have space to accommodate up to 55 people, with plenty of electrical outlets, Wi-Fi, heat, and A/C. The Loft is available for rent during open hours Monday through Saturday (in at 10am and out by 5pm) and Sunday (in at noon, out by 5pm, fall only).

Rental costs are as follows:

  • November through August: $250 for the day
  • September: $300
  • October and the first two weekends in November: $350 for the day

You can decorate however you like, with the exception of glitter, candles, and confetti. In terms of food, you can bring in your own food and non-alcoholic beverages, or you can buy lunches, donuts, cider, and beverages from us. After your event, why not visit our winery for a wine tasting?

Other Great Venue Ideas

There are many other fun places to host your bridal shower, including:

  • Someone’s Home: Whether indoors or in the backyard, a home bridal shower is not only easy but budget-friendly – especially if you have help setting up tables and chairs, adding decorations, and cleaning up afterwards.
  • Restaurant: If you want someone else to take care of the food, decorations, serving, and cleanup, restaurants are the way to go.
  • Country Club: If you know a member of a country club, you can ask to have the shower there and take advantage of the in-house catering and other amenities.
  • Historic Home: Historic homes and gardens are smaller venues that are ideal for intimate events. However, you may have to bring in your own outside catering.
  • Banquet Hall: If you have a lot of guests to accommodate, a banquet hall or event space is a better choice. They will likely offer in-house catering, decorations, linens, and other amenities.
  • Hotel: Hotels have private event spaces in a variety of sizes, as well as in-house catering. Plus, out-of-town guests can stay overnight in one of the hotel rooms.
  • Park: If you’re going for a casual picnic-style event, bring your bridal shower to a local park. You’ll have to bring your own food, supplies, and decorations, and may have to secure a permit.
