1. Warm Cinnamon Apples
You’ll love this treat that tastes like homemade apple pie filling, made even better topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
You will need:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 apples, peeled and cut into ½-inch slices
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cornstarch and 1 tbsp water
- Vanilla ice cream
Directions:
- Put heat on the saute setting, adding and melting the butter.
- Saute the apples in the butter for about a minute.
- Add cinnamon, sugar, lemon juice, and salt, then sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add 1/3 cup water and cook the apples for two to three minutes.
- Add the cornstarch and water mixture, then stir to combine.
- When thickened, serve.
2. Easy Apple Crisp
Made the old fashioned way, this easy apple crisp reaches perfection with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top or even some salted caramel sauce.
You will need:
- 6 apples, peeled and chopped or sliced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 3/4 tsp cinnamon, divided
- 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup oats
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into little cubes
- Kosher salt, pinch
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 F degrees, then grease an 8×8 baking dish.
- Mix apples, granulated sugar, and 3/4 tsp of the lemon juice and cinnamon in bowl, then transfer to baking dish.
- In another bowl, add topping ingredients, using a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the mixture.
- Spread topping over apples in dish.
- Bake 40-50 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
3. Cinnamon Sugar Apple Cake
You will love this light and fluffy cinnamon sugar apple cake packed with fresh apples and topped with cinnamon sugar.
Apple Cake:
- 2 1/2 cups chopped apples
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups flour
Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix ingredients, then fold in apples.
- Pour into a greased 9×13 pan.
- Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over the batter.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
