It seems summer is a popular time for babies. Whether you’re the one who’s expecting a little bundle of joy, or your best friend is, you may be wondering where the perfect place would be to welcome the little one to the world. Baby showers are traditional events where close friends and family members of the expectant mother “shower” her and the baby with gifts. Like any other event, wouldn’t it be nice to rent out a facility so you don’t have to worry about all the mess in your own house?

Consider these great places you can rent out for an upcoming baby shower.

Rent a Loft at Robinette’s

There’s no doubt about it: our Loft is the ideal setting for baby showers, as well as bridal showers, birthday parties, and even corporate meetings. Rest assured, we have plenty of space to accommodate up to 55 people, complete with Wi-Fi, electrical outlets, heat, and A/C. The Loft is available for rent during open hours Monday through Saturday (in at 10am and out by 5pm) and Sunday (in at noon, out by 5pm, fall only).

Rental costs are as follows:

  • November through August: $250 for the day
  • September: $300
  • October and the first two weekends in November: $350 for the day

You can decorate the area in any way you want, except we ask that you don’t bring glitter, candles, and confetti. What celebration would be complete without food? Feel free to bring in your own snacks, cakes, meals, and potlucks, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. You may also purchase lunches, donuts, cider, and beverages from us if you prefer.

Other Fun Venue Ideas For a Baby Shower

There are many other fun places to host your bridal shower, including:

  1. Someone’s Home: A home bridal shower is not only easy but budget-friendly when you hold it inside the home of a friend, or even in their backyard. Ask a few close friends to show up early and help you set up tables and chairs, hang decorations, and clean up afterwards.
  2. Park: Parks make for great casual picnic-style events. To stock your baby shower, you will have to bring your own food, tables, chairs, supplies, and decorations. Don’t forget that you may have to secure a permit with the town. Always ask first.
  3. Restaurant: If you aren’t keen on making and serving food, putting up decorations, and cleaning up afterwards, restaurants are an ideal choice.
  4. Country Club: As the friend of a country club member, you may be able to host the baby shower there and take advantage of all the amenities, as well as in-house catering.
  5. Historic Home: Smaller venues like historic homes and gardens are perfect places to host intimate events. Just be aware you may have to bring in your own outside catering.
  6. Hotel: Hotels offer private event spaces in many sizes to accommodate various groups, plus they offer in-house catering. If you have out-of-town guests coming, they can stay overnight in one of the rooms at their own expense.
  7. Banquet Hall: If you have many guests to accommodate, an event space or banquet hall that offers in-house catering, linens, decorations, and other amenities would be best.
