Are you about to welcome a little bundle of joy? Especially for first-time moms, baby showers are a traditional rite of passage that provide mom and her newborn with the essentials. From diapers and clothing to bassinets and car seats, you’ll need a sufficient space to throw a baby shower that can accommodate not only the food and gifts but the guests as well.

No one wants to deal with the mess and hassle of throwing a shower in their home. Why not rest out a separate place where everything will be taken care of for you? Whether you’re the mom to be, or the best friend tasked with organizing the party, here are some great places to consider renting out for an upcoming baby shower.

You Could Rent a Loft at Robinette’s

Our Loft is the ideal setting for any gathering, from baby and bridal showers to birthday parties and corporate meetings. We can accommodate up to 55 people with a charming facility that has Wi-Fi, electrical outlets, A/C, and heat for your guests’ comfort. Available for rent during open hours, you can hold your baby shower here at the Loft Monday through Saturday (in at 10am and out by 5pm) and Sunday (in at noon, out by 5pm, fall only).

Here’s a breakdown of the rental costs:

  • October and the first two weekends in November: $350 for the day
  • November through August: $250 for the day
  • September: $300

The best part is, you have free reign to decorate the area as you wish. Just please do not bring in glitter, candles, or confetti. In terms of food, feel free to bring your own cakes, snacks, meals, trays, potlucks, and non-alcoholic beverages. We sell lunches, cider, doughnuts, and beverages here at Robinette’s if you prefer to order from us.

Where Else Can You Throw a Baby Shower?

If the timing and availability of our Loft rentals don’t align with your needs, there are a multitude of other great places to host your baby shower, including:

Banquet Hall

When you have many guests to accommodate for a fancy affair, such as upwards of 75, you’re better off with an event space or banquet hall that can provide linens, in-house catering, decorations, and other amenities.

Private Home

If you’re on a strict budget, a home baby shower is the best option. Whether you hold it in your own home, the home of a friend, or in someone’s backyard, you have complete control over food selection, decorations, and more. Of course, you have to set up and clean up, but this is doable for small gatherings.

Historic Home

Smaller venues (gardens, historic homes, etc.) can provide an idyllic setting for intimate events. The only thing is, you will have to hire your own outside catering company. You’ll also have to get permission from whoever runs the historic home or garden.

Restaurant

If the last thing you want to do is make and serve food, not to mention decorate and then clean up after everyone, renting out a room at a restaurant is always a viable option.

Country Club

If you know a country club member, you can potentially hold the baby shower there and partake of all the amenities and in-house catering.

Park

Looking for a casual picnic-style event? Bring your own tables, chairs, food, supplies, drinks, and decorations. Just remember that you’ll have to secure a permit with the town in advance.

Hotel

Hotels usually have at least a few private event spaces in varying sizes while offering in-house catering. Out-of-town guests can even rent a room and stay for a few days.
