Whether you’ve only just heard of us and have never been here, or you visit throughout the year to enjoy our apples, bakery, and activities, you may not know much about our history and how we got here. Today, let’s go back in time and explore the beginnings of Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery.

A Family Destination For Decades

Since 1912, Robinette’s has been a premier destination for families all over the area. Our family purchased the farm in 1911, which at that time was a peach farm. If you take a look at the photo on our history page, you will see the Robinette family headed to the Grand Rapids market with loads of fruit back in 1912.

Taken in front of the barn where wine and gifts are now currently sold, this black and white photo shows Edward Robinette (seated), brother Allan, sister Anna, and mother Minnie standing in front of the wagon.

What initially began as a produce-growing farm eventually grew into our Apple Haus in 1973. This is where we served fresh baked goods, produce, and tasty treats. Today in the Apple Haus, you’ll find the bakery, cider mill, lunch counter and dining area, home-grown fresh fruits and much more.

Now, 112 years later, our farm family continues to carry on the legacy that began decades ago. Open all year ’round, we have lots of treats, gifts, and activities to make your family fun day a success.

Cider Mill

In 1971, we added a cider press to our farm which transformed us into a popular retail destination. We still make fresh cider at the cider mill from Labor Day through April or early May using a blend of seasonal apples. When you visit our cider mill, you can actually watch the cider being made, which does not contain preservatives or additives for the best taste.

We make extra batches of cider each November to sell throughout the summer, but our cider season never ends.

We hope you enjoyed this little history lesson and decide to see us in action real soon.
